    What we will do to repair your Laptop or Netbook Screen

    When you bring your laptop in-store, an engineer will diagnose the screen problem and provide a full quote for its repair.

    Should we need to investigate the problem, we’ll ask you to pay a small fee for the diagnosis, which will be deducted from the final repair costs.

    Once you book your laptop in, the engineer will open it up to investigate the problem and identify the model numbers for any parts that may need to be replaced.

     

    We'll confirm the final price and you can instruct us to proceed with the repair.

    All our work is guaranteed for quality. Any recurring problems will be fixed at no extra charge.

    What kind of screen faults are likely to occur?

    Computer problems are divided into two areas: software and hardware.

    Screen faults are usually the result of a hardware problem - when a physical part of the computer is at fault.

    Accidental damage or 'wear and tear' can cause hardware to become faulty.

    Faults which cause screen problems include:

    •  Cracked/broken screen

    •  Faulty Inverter

    •  Faulty Backlight

    •  Faulty Screen Cable

    •  Faulty Graphics

    •  Faulty Motherboard

    •  Overheating

    (or a combination)

    How long will the repair take?

    Most screen repairs are completed within three days.

    Repairs may take longer if we need to order in parts (five days from the UK, longer if ordered in from overseas)

    If the computer will not power on, please note that we’ll need to fix this first, before a full quote and diagnosis can be provided.
